Tršić is a historic ethno village near Loznica in western Serbia, known as the birthplace of Vuk Karadžić, the reformer of the Serbian language and alphabet. Arranged as a cultural-historical site, it blends tradition, nature and heritage.
Its centre is the restored birth house of Vuk Karadžić, surrounded by buildings depicting rural life of the late 18th century. Each year it hosts the "Vukov Sabor", the oldest cultural event in Serbia. Nearby is the medieval Tronoša Monastery.
Accommodation includes ethno homesteads, cabins and apartments in traditional style. Tršić is about two hours from Belgrade via Šabac and Loznica.
