Rural tourism

Rural tourism answers the need for a holiday without crowds: a homestead with a few rooms, breakfast from its own produce, a garden, an orchard and hosts who call you to the table. For city children, meeting cows, hens and a tractor beats any water park.

It is most developed in Western Serbia (around Zlatibor, Tara, Valjevo and Ivanjica), in Šumadija, on Fruška Gora and on the farmsteads of Vojvodina. Many homesteads offer full board at well below hotel prices.

Travelling with children, ask about a playground, the animals and joining in the farm work; going for the quiet, check the distance from the main road and the internet.
