Mileševa Monastery
About
Mileševa near Prijepolje is the endowment of King Vladislav, from around 1235. It houses the White Angel — the fresco of the angel at Christ's tomb that has become a symbol of Serbian art and one of the most reproduced frescoes in the world. The relics of Saint Sava were once kept here. The monastery lies in the Mileševka valley, on the way to Zlatibor and Zlatar.
