Tara River
About
The Tara river rises in the heart of the mountain of the same name and is known for its crystal-clear water, rapids and deep canyons. The finest way to experience it is rafting through rapids surrounded by the dense conifer forests of the national park. The Tara flows into the Drina near Perućac, and the surroundings offer viewpoints such as Banjska Stena, lakes and rich flora and fauna, including the rare Serbian spruce. A perfect destination for nature lovers, hikers and adrenaline seekers, with accommodation in log cabins and ethno homesteads.
