Vrnjačka Banja: Serbia's most famous spa town

Published: 09/06/2026

Vrnjačka Banja is Serbia''s most famous and most visited spa town, set at the foot of Mount Goč. With a tradition of more than 150 years, it combines healing mineral waters, landscaped parks and a rich wellness and entertainment offer for all generations.

Its main treasure is its warm and cold mineral springs. The best known, Topla Voda, has a temperature of around 36.5 degrees — the same as the human body — and is used to treat digestive conditions and diabetes, as well as for wellness.

The town centre is marked by a large park with the famous Bridge of Love, where couples attach padlocks. Concerts and festivals, including the Vrnjci Carnival, fill the season.

Accommodation is highly varied — large hotels with spa centres, apartments, villas and guesthouses. Vrnjačka Banja is about 200 km from Belgrade, accessible year-round.
