Zlatar Lake: tranquillity on Mount Zlatar

Zlatar Lake lies on Mount Zlatar in southwestern Serbia, at around 880 metres. This reservoir on the Uvac river is surrounded by pine forests and pastures of Zlatar, known for exceptionally clean air and a mild climate.
The lake is popular with anglers, and its calm waters suit boating and kayaking. Nearby is the famous Uvac Special Nature Reserve, with its spectacular meanders and griffon vulture colony.
Accommodation includes hotels, apartments, villas and ethno homesteads, where guests enjoy Zlatar cheese and kajmak. Zlatar Lake is about four hours from Belgrade via Nova Varoš.
