Published: 10/06/2026

Zlatibor is one of Serbia''s most popular and developed mountain destinations. Set in the west of the country at around 1000 metres, it is known for its mild climate, clean air and a rich tourist offer that lasts all year.

The centre gathers hotels, apartments and restaurants around a lake, with everything within reach. A special attraction is the Gold Gondola, one of the longest panoramic cable cars in the world, connecting the centre with the Tornik peak.

Tornik is Zlatibor''s ski centre, with slopes for beginners and experienced skiers from December to March. Nearby sights include Sirogojno ethno village, Stopića Cave and the Gostilje waterfall.

Accommodation ranges from spa hotels to apartments, villas and ethno homesteads. Zlatibor is about three hours from Belgrade via the motorway to Užice. Book ahead for the season and holidays.
